Over 80,000 Trees to be planted by Eden Reforestation Projects and gamigo

Due to the program’s success, gamigo will extend the cooperation with Eden Reforestation Projects for another week.

Hamburg, May 4, 2020 - gamigo is pleased to announce that it will be extending its partnership with the Eden Reforestation Projects. gamigo’s many gaming communities have been purchasing specially created charity packages filled with in-game goodies. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, enough funds have been raised to plant over 80,000 trees so far. But why stop there? gamigo and its communities will keep up the momentum with Eden Projects to pledge even more trees in affected regions through May 10, 2020!

"The global gaming community has the potential to become a significant contributor in the fight against climate change, species extinction, and poverty alleviation, and we are thrilled to see the positive response to gamigo’s event in support of Eden Reforestation Projects. It’s super easy, fun, and transformational when online gaming results in a cash paying job for impoverished villagers to plant and protect tens of thousands of trees that positively impact our planet and the issue of climate change.

We all know and understand that the Covid-19 Pandemic has become a global crisis and focus, but the partnership between gamigo and Eden provides the means for us to stand together in these difficult times by turning entertainment into positive social and environmental action. We are grateful to each person who has responded to the opportunity to plant trees and save lives as you play your favorite games. " says Steve Fitch, CEO of Eden Reforestation Projects.

Players can head to the special charity giving page to select their favorite gamigo title and then the package they wish to purchase. Packages at all price points will see trees planted. At $1.99, 2 trees will be planted. At $9.99, 10 trees will be planted. At $19.99, 20 trees will be planted. To inspire fans even more, gamigo has set up leaderboards showing how many trees each community has funded and how many players have taken part.

More information about gamigo and the charity project can be found on the official event website.

About Eden
